The Northern Institute of Social Justice works with the Departments of Justice in the governments of Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut; and has worked with Justice Canada on various projects.
A current project is the development and completion of online training designed for victim service providers in the three territories. This multi-year project has included curriculum development, editing, testing and revision; and is now in the finalization phase.
The intent is to provide modules on topics of common concern to victim service providers across the North. As appropriate, each territory may supplement this training with in-person classroom training that addresses territory-specific issues in providing services to victims.
