During the indicated times, a Safety & Security Officer will be stationed at the Fitness Centre and actively monitor the area, including change rooms.
The officer will ask each Fitness Centre user for ID to ensure they are a student or staff - and record their name and time of access.
For safety reasons, please ensure there is someone present with you when working out.
Sports clubs
Join the YukonU Basketball Club in the Gym on Saturdays 8-10pm.
Interested in Volleyball? Soccer? Another sport? Email studentlife@yukonu.ca to get connected with other students and start a club.
The YukonU facilities are only available for current students and staff. Proper footwear must be worn. Clean, indoor shoes only; outdoor shoes, bare feet, socks, sandals, work boots or dress shoes are not acceptable. Any outdoor shoes must be left in the designated shoe storage area or changeroom locker. Lockers are available for day use only. Locks are to be removed at the end of each day.
Please note that all locks found on lockers on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 10:00pm will be removed. Any contents found in lockers on this date will be available for pick up until March 10, 2025, by contacting Safety and Security Services at (289) 334-6042.
Locks left on lockers overnight will be removed nightly starting Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Bookings are required to use the gym and equipment. Use of sporting equipment in the gym must be approved to avoid damage to the facility. Using the gymnasium without a booking, or other unsafe behaviour, may lead to being denied access to the gym.
