Dr. Lesley Brown’s current five-year term as President and Vice-Chancellor of Yukon University ends on June 30, 2026. President Brown has indicated her interest in reappointment, and, pursuant to the University’s Presidential Reappointment Policy, has requested that the Board of Governors undertake a review to consider her reappointment for a further term. Such review and renewal committees are standard process at other universities, but it is the first time being formally undertaken here at Yukon University.
The presidential review process is governed by the Yukon University President Reappointment Policy – BOG 6.0. The Board of Governors holds the responsibility for the appointment and reappointment of the President and Vice-Chancellor. To ensure thorough evaluation process, the Board established the President’s Reappointment Committee to review and make a recommendation for the reappointment of President Lesley Brown.
