Collecting bacteria with students

pelly

Dr. Guillaume Nielsen visited the Pelly School to share his knowledge about mine remediation with 12 Selkirk First Nation high school students. He then took some of the students to the Minto mine (only five due to COVID requirements on site) to collect bacteria populations. He will use the bacteria they collected from the mine site to build an experiment over the winter at the Pelly school.

You can learn more about Guillaume’s Northern Mine Remediation research on our website.
