SUPR CE14 - Leading with Purpose: Tools for New Supervisors

(formerly ABCs of Supervision)

This engaging two-day course is ideal for new or aspiring supervisors, team leads, and managers eager to enhance their leadership skills. By the end of the session, participants will be able to effectively listen, ask questions, resolve conflicts, and provide constructive feedback to employees. Participants will also identify key attitudes that enhance supervisory effectiveness and learn time management and planning techniques to maximize your success. Additionally, participants will develop clear instruction-giving techniques and understand the importance of building strong relationships with employees and peers to be perceived as fair and consistent.

This course is ideal for anyone in a supervisory role or aspiring to one, who wants to develop practical skills to address and overcome the challenges of leadership in the workplace, including:

  • Individuals recently promoted to supervisory roles who are looking for strategies to handle common challenges and effectively lead their teams.
  • Team members or professionals aiming for a supervisory position who want to prepare themselves for the responsibilities and challenges of a leadership role.

Learning outcomes
