MMC 121 - Digital Video and Audio
Students will learn and experiment with the functions and creative possibilities of Adobe's non-linear edit program, Premiere Elements, in preparation for output applications to DVD and other digital formats for streaming, upload or transmission. Editing involves understanding the functionality of the program but also intuiting what works in aesthetic and communicative terms. Students will experiment with editing styles and explore the craft of assembling images to create meaning. Exercises, mini-projects, screenings and class lecture and discussion will give students a solid understanding of digital video and audio editing.
