HLTH 004 - FOODSAFE Level 1
FOODSAFE Level 1 is a food handling, sanitation and work safety course designed for front line food service workers such as cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers, and deli workers. The course covers important food safety and worker safety information including foodborne illness, receiving and storing food, preparing food, serving food, cleaning and sanitizing.

By the end of the course participants will learn the following:
- The causes of foodborne illness.
- Microbes and Foodborne illness.
- Food safety plans and HACCP.
- Food handler health and hygiene.
- Receiving, preparing, serving, and storing food safely.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and pest control.
- Premise requirements.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive valid 5-year Food Safe Level 1 certification.
