This course focuses on basic drawing skills, the materials required to draw, and how to prepare and transfer designs to create a card and wood carving. In the relief carving segment, students will learn carving design, techniques and appropriate tool usage to apply designs, to shape and form wood, and to apply finishes. Students will develop quality-control standards for each project.
