EL 103 - Early Learning Practicum 1
Developing a thriving practice in Early Learning can be viewed through the metaphor of a tree. Foundations for Practice establishes the roots that will center the future. Practicum 1 can be seen as the strong trunk from which all other growth emerges. Practicum 2 finds us extending our branches as we reach for new experience and insights, and Practicum 3 invites us to consider the buds that burst forth into the world.
Practicum 1 invites the first practice opportunity of the Early Learning program. Your practicum is an opportunity to explore uncertainty with instructors, mentors and other students as you consider images of children, educator and self in practice. As we meet and work with children in their environments, relationship emerges as the key focus of this practicum. Through a process of reflection and growth, images of children, educator and self are considered as you develop a practice of intention with children, families and communities.
