Yukon College has moved the opening date for applications for the Fall Term to October 15 from January 15 to better align with other Canadian universities and to allow for increased interest in attending the institution as it transitions to become Yukon University – Canada's first university North of 60.

WHITEHORSE, YT—The Yukon College board of governors has begun recruitment for the institution’s next president and vice chancellor. The successful candidate will be the institution’s eighth president and first to serve a full term as president and vice chancellor of Yukon University, Canada’s first university North of 60.
WHITEHORSE—Over 775 new and returning credit students are enrolled in classes this fall at Yukon College — a 17 per cent increase over this time last year — continuing a trend that has seen enrolments increase by 50 per cent since 2015.
WHITEHORSE—Presidents, vice-presidents and reconciliation leads from 31 colleges and universities have returned to their respective institutions across Canada with fresh perspectives on reconciliation, inspiration about what is possible and new relationships to support their journeys.
