George & Bell Consulting Indigenous Student Award

George & Bell Consulting wishes to make $2,000 available to Yukon University students registered in a Capstone course within the Bachelor of Business Administration or the Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Governance programs.

The amount awarded to each recipient will depend on the number of applications received and selected by the Student Award Capstone Subcommittee.

George and Bell Consulting logoFounded in 2012, George & Bell Consulting is a firm of pension, benefits and investment consulting professionals. They work with various pension and benefit plans, Indigenous trusts, endowments, foundations and other investment entities, and provide advice to Indigenous Trustees, boards, committees, unions and other stakeholders. They feel fortunate to have relationships with a number of Yukon-based organizations.

Eligibility

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person
  • Be of Indigenous ancestry
  • Be registered in Yukon University’s Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Governance program
  • Have completed at least 30.0 credit hours counting toward the program
  • Be registered in a Capstone course
  • Provide a brief letter outlining: 
    • the topic of your Capstone project
    • the amount needed to support your project
    • how this award will support the successful completion of your project (eg., travel costs to rural community to interview Elders, childcare support during a weekend symposium, conference registration fees, etc.)
    • how the project will support your Capstone partner (eg., business, government, community, NGO, etc.)
