The Administrative Officer position is based in the unique sub-arctic community of Dawson City, Yukon, situated within the traditional territory of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in. The Yukon School of Visual Arts (SOVA) offers a rigorous eight-month Foundation Year Program in this distinctive location. SOVA is entering its second decade of operation as a first-year undergraduate-level educational institution overseen by a Governance Council composed of the Dawson City Arts Society, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation and Yukon University. Graduating students can complete their BFAs at SOVA-affiliated art schools across Canada, including OCAD University, NSCAD University, Alberta University of Art + Design, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, the University of Ottawa, and Mount Allison University.

As the Administrative Officer, you will be crucial to the Yukon School of Visual Arts (SOVA) team. Reporting to the SOVA Program Director, you will provide a broad range of administrative support and reception to staff and faculty. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of responsive, accurate information, a key aspect of our commitment to excellence. You will also assist with student recruitment, enrollment, and program support. Other related duties are performed as required.
