Your established track record of building trusted partnerships and providing advice and guidance on Employee & Labour Relations, Talent Management and organizational change will enable you to translate our clients’ needs into effective solutions. Drawing upon your comprehensive knowledge of applicable polices, collective agreements and employment laws, you will contribute on key matters relating to labour relations, employee relations, onboarding, organization reviews, job evaluation and salary administration. Your ability to uphold a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality and your willingness to support the advancement of faculty and staff initiatives through targeted HR projects will make you an indispensable member of our team.

The main purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to nurture, develop, and grow Yukon University’s greatest asset: our people. As a Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for coaching, advising, guiding and supporting university leadership, managers, staff and faculty, of designated University divisions with all people-related matters including employee and labour relations, recruitment, selection, retention, succession planning, performance planning and assessment, pay and benefits administration, career planning and development and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a related degree combined with progressive Human Resource experience as a generalist and business partner. Experience working in a highly complex, unionized environment is preferred. Experience in a post-secondary environment is considered an asset.
